Duck, duck, vamoose: With the clock quickly ticking away until the July 1 statewide ban on foie gras, restaurants are milking every last drop in the final two weeks. And make no mistake: They’re selling more than ever. Some are doing all-foie-gras dinners, while others are offering special appetizers, entrees and even desserts. Get it while you can. Then there’s Alexander’s Steakhouse (448 Brannan St.), which is offering a foie gras cocktail. And it’s quite the drink. It’s called Daffy’s Slur (no, really), and this is the recipe: 1 ounce foie gras-infused vodka, 1 ounce hazelnut liqueur (charged by nitrous oxide, of course), 1 ounce strawberry balsamic gastrique, 1/4 ounce green chartreuse, muddled Thai basil and a topper of sparkling wine. Daffy indeed.
